About DoubleTree
DoubleTree SME Capital is a boutique financial services company based in Pretoria and has been in operation since 2014.
It is 100% women-owned. It was conceived out of the ongoing realisation and continuous narrative that for our economy to grow rapidly, the country needs a healthy and thriving small business sector.
Unfortunately, commercial banks and Development Finance Institutions tend to downplay the financial support required for these small businesses. Their focus is always on bigger and better businesses. This is the “neglected” market we are targeting.
Our mission is to emerge as a major force in making a positive economic impact by providing a simple, quick and convenient financial assistance service to the SME’s. In essence we act as a catalyst that facilitates inclusion of many small - medium businesses that would otherwise lose out on available opportunities. This point was well captured by Adam Grant who stated that ‘The most meaningful way to succeed is to help others succeed’.
A key component of our operating model is the value we attach to the quality of our service, which extends beyond just assisting with the finance part but also providing the necessary support where required.
With clients across both the public and private sectors, DoubleTree introduced a service dedicated to providing short term finance to assist small businesses with valid purchase orders or contracts so as to be able to deliver to their clients. We believe that extending the reach of this service to as many small businesses as possible will help consolidate the market and make a positive impact, thereby contributing to the growth and sustainability of the small business sector. It is a fact that the historically underserved population continues to be excluded from access to financial services.
